Seniors: SAT is Wednesday, September 23, 2020 -register by 8/20 @6pm

Seniors, Pinellas County Schools is offering you the opportunity to take the SAT at no expense on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.  If you are planning to make application to a college and/or apply for a scholarship that has an SAT score requirement, please go to office.com and log in using your school email address (i.e. R2.D2@pcsb.org) and password and then click HERE to complete the registration.  The deadline to register is AUGUST 20^th at 6pm.

Good afternoon Largo High Family. This is assistant principal Jonathan Marina. Welcome to another installment of the weekend update.

We are pleased to offer self-guided tours on Thursday, August 20th between 3:30pm - 6:30pm for our freshmen and new to us scholars. To comply with the CDC Guidelines, tours will be limited to the enrolled scholar and their parent(s) or guardian(s). When they arrive, the scholar will be given a campus map and other pertinent information. LHS Staff will be on campus to assist you while you tour the facility.

**Entrance to the campus will be between building 1 and building 4, near the auditorium.  Please be sure all members of the group are wearing a face mask as this is mandated by PCS.**

Textbook Check-Out will occur in the Bus Loop. Please come in off of Missouri Avenue and we will direct you to the distribution location.  Please have your child’s name in the windshield of your vehicle.  
10th Grade MyPCS Textbook Check-Out- Wednesday 8/19 from 8am-11am
11th Grade MyPCS Textbook Check-Out- Wednesday 8/19 from 12pm-3pm
12th  Grade MyPCS Textbook Check-Out- Thursday 8/20 from 8am-11am

MyPCS Device Distribution- will occur at the same time as textbook distribution if you completed the online survey.

The PSAT will be on Wednesday, October 14th. All 9th and 10th graders will take this for free to practice taking a college readiness test. All 11th graders who choose to opt in to take this test will have the chance to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. While this test cannot be used for college admissions and will not affect your student’s GPA it can be used as a concordant score for the Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirement. If you have a 504 or an IEP currently in place and would like to request accommodations on this test, please check your mail for the required paperwork that is due no later than August 21st. If you had Ms. Bagley during the spring semester, she has saved your art projects for you, but you must pick them up before September 1st.  Ceramic Hands, Wall Pockets, Potter’s Wheel Bowls, Art History Boxes, Tripod Vases, Soft Slab Vases, Draping Bowls, Figure Sculptures, etc.  Please stop by her room before or after school, or during lunch.  If you are attending virtual school, contact Ms. Bagley at BagleyL@pcsb.orgto make arrangements. Remember to wear your mask!
